day 07

Good morning, friends!

I am getting jacked on coffee and starting to listen right now to the Charles Gaines talk from Amanda yesterday. Thanks Amanda! (Let’s see how the multi-tasking goes for this uni-tasker.) Loving it so far, especially the ideas that are the foundation of his work.

The next couple of months will be challenging, with you-know-who resisting his departure, rising coronavirus cases and deaths, and the coming winter. But, with Biden becoming president early next year, and news that a successful vaccine may be in development is starting to create a light at the end of what will be a VERY challenging tunnel. (This is EXACTLY the kind of talk I did not want to engage in here. Sorry.)

I mention this because it can be motivating. I feel motivated to stay especially safe, connected to people, and also to use this time wisely. How about you?

Today:(using TickTick app/Pomodoro timer to whip myself back into production)
Pull a bunch of stuff out and cut it up. (1 hour)
Stretch some pieced fabric on existing bars as a test for larger work. (1 hour)
Fix drawing setup to be more comfortable for LONG sessions (30 mins)
Yoga (30 mins)
Meditation (15 mins)
Look into a plan to launch framed prints at simplyframed.com (15 mins)
Review Jessica Matier’s website and how she handles “available work” (15 mins)
Update website to add residency (30 mins)
Start a draft for email blast (15 mins)

Is that too many things for one day?

Quiet co-working session again: Going to try this again today. Inviting folks to draw, collage, knit, drink tea, or complete/start something that you have been procrastinating that needs a focussed push.
